FULLY MODULAR SUPER PORTABLE VAPORIZER.
When we first tried out the dotLeaf we were blown away. Not only did it pack a punch with the vapor, but it has some incredible functionality. The oven, battery and mouthpiece are all modular. They managed to pack all of this in to a tiny device that performs like a more expensive model.
DOES NOT INCLUDE BATTERY!
Teeny Tiny Size
The dotLeaf is smaller than the size of a credit card. Yes, it's that small. If you're looking for a super portable vaporizer you have to at least consider the dotLeaf. It's pretty amazing what dotMod has packed in to such a tiny device.
This makes it perfect for pretty much any situation. It can easily be tossed in your pocket. Going on a hike? Going to the park? Chilling on the couch? The dotLeaf vaporizer suits your needs.
The dotLeaf is one of the first vaporizers to market that has a fully swappable oven. This means you can keep extra ovens ready to go with dry herb and just swap them out during a session. Just pop out your used oven and pop in the fresh one.
This also makes cleaning the dotLeaf incredibly easy. All you have to really worry about is the oven, which is easy to brush out and clean. The mouthpiece is a standard drip tip which is simple to clean as well. Maintaining a vaporizer is the key to having it perform at its best.
Not only is the oven swappable, but so is the battery. This makes the dotLeaf one of the first fully modular vaporizers. You can swap out almost everything! We love replaceable batteries because it extends the life of the vaporizer. With many other vaporizers when the battery dies, they die. That isn't the case with the dotLeaf.
It also charges via USB-C which is the preferred charging method these days. It's universal and generally charges faster than the alternatives.
There are only two buttons on the dotLeaf but they allow you to do a lot. Switch between four pre-set temperature settings with the hidden button behind the magnetic door. There is also a 'boost' mode which gives you a temp increase at the end of your session to get the most out of your oven.
The dotLeaf proves that you don't need an app to get a lot of functionality. A single button can do everything you need without a phone and bluetooth.
Even though the dotLeaf is small in size, it can do quite a bit right out of the box. dotMod includes 14mm and 18mm adapters which allow you to connect your vaporizer to a water pipe. While this isn't unique to the dotLeaf, it is one of the only vaporizers that doesn't charge extra for these pieces.
Connecting to a water pipe certainly isn't necessary but it is a nice vaporizing experience. We recommend trying out both native and with the adapters to see which you prefer.

This device reminds me of the Magic Flight Box.... It's a great little package but there's defiantly some room for improvement. The 14mm bong attachment doesn't fit into my device for some reason, out of the box that attachment had two rubber seals tangled in each other, Assuming there was a minor issue in the production line or something. Apart from that I love the water pipe attachment.. Low heat provides really transparent flavors and higher heats produce a fairly decent cloud.... after a week or so of usage, I'm beginning to not like the metal/ magnetic body so much, feels a little brittle and slightly awkward for mobility.
I've had other flower vaporizers and have had trouble with consistency, flow and taste. The first few uses you get the popcorn taste, as with all the chamber needs to cure, so to speak, like the way you host a pizza stone or season a cast iron pan. After the first few sessions. you can really taste subtle flavors, and control the temperature according the amount of resin/how dry of fresh the flower is. After that, it so easy to use, quick, and best part is I don't have to go outside!
Shipping was super fast.
This is my first dry herb device and I'm still trying to figure out the best setup - bud used, how fine a grind, how dense to pack it, how full of a chamber, which batteries to use, the right heat setting, how many sessions per oven, how often to clean the oven. It seems the device is particular on batteries and requires a high quality one. I'm not getting much vapor so far, even on the highest temp, but the thing seems to be pretty effective.
On the plus side, absolutely love the look, the form factor and the modularity. A second oven is a near must. This thing is very easy to use, and very discreet. Case is quite handy, too.
Speaking of the case, it's got a metal Dotleaf logo glued on, which only took 3 days to begin flaking off. Once it does, the shards are incredibly sharp, and have stabbed/cut me twice. I'd recommend scratching it right off to save yourself the trouble.
The dotleaf’s strengths are the interchangeable parts. I love the ability to drain a battery and swap it out to charge without losing functionality. Getting an extra oven is the way to go eliminating downtime when you want to.
I have enjoyed the DotLeaf 1.5. To be honest it is the first dry leaf vaporizer I have used, but I have smoked bud and it is a close experience. I am only using CBD bud and have set temp at the highest. I would buy a second chamber.
The Dotleaf vaporizer is easy to load. Heats up quickly. I personally use it on the second heat level as I find the higher heat settings too hot. However, the higher heat setting would be excellent for a bong. You get the basic accessories such as a brush and pick tool. What it also comes with are two bong adapters... 14mm and 18mm so should fit any bong. Vapor can be as strong as you like depending on heat setting and boost mode. I use boost mode on level 2 and get large clouds. The draw has very little resistance. The Dotleaf is a good vaporizer and works well.
My doctor said to stop smoking and start vaping, so I did. I ended up purchasing the metallic green (awesome colour) vape, and I thoroughly like it. It's gadgety for the nerd in me, and with the extra cartidge I can still go for long walks in the neighbourhood and smoke up, without smoking a doobie. Two thumbs up for me.
Yep, love it. Small, fast to heat up, easy to toke, good battery life. Looks easy to clean and well- made. 10/10 so far..
I dont think I’ll ever go back to smoking. In the past I had a focusvape which I used for a while but went back to smoking.
I can’t see that happening now.
The taste is a pleasure, being able to swap out batteries and ovens means never having to wait for charging or cleaning between uses. Customers services is great, very responsive and helpful.
People say it’s brilliant through glass but I didn’t want to get a pipe again soooo I’ve managed to set up a little hookah to use it with 😍 I put a drop of peppermint oil in the water and it’s just such a treat!
